RIDOH Issues order authorizing pharmacists to continue giving COVID-19 vaccine, despite more limited federal criteria.

On September 12 the Rhode Island Dept of Health issued an order authorizing pharmacists to continue giving the COVID 19 Vaccine.  Rhode Island joins a growing list of states taking action to ensure that residents can continue to receive the vaccine.  In addition, a notice was issued separately by the Health Department and the RI Office of Health Insurance Commissioner requiring health insurance companies to continue covering the vaccines.
